Antwon Key is a graphic designer, photographer, and an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Salem State University in Salem, Massachusetts. He holds an MFA in Graphic Design from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and a BA in Advertising from the University of Alabama. He has had the opportunity to produce digital and integrated campaigns from conception to production with various public and private institutions.
While working for Lime Valley Advertising, Antwon won a 2018 Service Industry Advertising Award for his work on the OrthoEdge magazine advertising series for River's Edge Hospital & Clinics. His project, Red, White, and Black: A Visual Introspective of Alternative American Perspectives, won a 2018 Regional Award from PRINT Magazine and was included in the HOW+PRINT Magazine publication the Best of Design 2019.
Professor Key's current area of interest is in Design for Social Change. His research goals are to educate design scholars to be aware of how subtle messaging within their work can influence our society for good.

Responsibilities entailed conceptualizing ideas for responsive websites, print, and digital advertisements, visual identity systems, and packaging design development. While working as a designer, I won an SIA Award for his work on the OrthoEdge magazine advertising series for River's Edge Hospital & Clinics.
Responsible for evaluating current client websites and producing contemporary responsive redesigns that led to satisfying and compelling experiences for their users.
Antwon worked as a freelance graphic designer and photographer for Stillman College. In 2015, he was the official graduation photographer for the college.
Antwon developed—as a digital graphic designer—traditional print and interactive digital web advertisements in the Creative Services Department for the various newspapers owned by Gatehouse Media.
Antwon is graduate of the Vermont College of Fine Arts with a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. His thesis project, Red, White, and Black, was chosen as one of 265 Regional Winners in the most recent PRINT Regional Design Awards, sponsored by PRINT Magazine.
